What curriculum do you use?

Your child is our curriculum!  We use each child to drive our curricular decisions. Each student is given a well-rounded academic Work Plan that corresponds to their skill level.

What is a Work Plan?

A Work Plan is an Individual Learning Plan geared to your child specifically.  It will contain a wide variety of activities encompassing Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.  This Plan will be a road map for the week.  It will let them know what is expected to be completed by the end of the week.

Why are students not grouped by grade level?

Students are given work according to their individual level, not a grade level.  Since work is assigned in this manner, students are free to work in the environment that best suits their learning style instead of being "placed" in a room according to their age/grade level.

How do you determine my child's level?

We will use a variety of tools to determine the level your child will start on.  This level will be ever-changing as we learn your child and their particular learning needs.

Will there be extracurricular activities?

Yes, we will offer a variety of special classes in the afternoons from 2:00-3:00.  These will include but not be limited to: Physical Education, Foreign Language, Music, Art, Chapel, Drama and Cooking.

Is there a space for outdoor activity?

Yes, there is a playground for our young students, a backstop for games for the older students as well as lots of outdoor space to visit with friends or read a book.

What will you do about high school?

Our students will continue working through the Work Plan system until such time as they are ready for college and/or vocational course work.  It is our hope that our students will be prepared to enter college/vocational classes in mid-high school.

Do you have options for home-schoolers?

We do, please contact us to discuss your particular situation.
